Lauren Southern

From infomekka.com

Lauren Cherie Southern[1] (15 June 1995)[2][3] is a "somewhat conservative",[4] volunteerist,[5] very libertarian, rightist[6] Canadian[7] self-described gonzo Journalist[8] and political Commentator[9] who promotes Traditionalism because she thinks it leads to Happiness.[10] In an Article titled "Rise of the Cultural Libertarians", Allum Bokhari of "Breitbart" called her a cultural Libertarian.[11] Lauren has said there are some People who consider her Part of the Alt Right light and some, although fewer, who consider her Part of the Alt Right, but she "can't really speak for them".[12] The Folks at antifascistnews.net and Hope not Hate consider her a Part of the Alt Right light.[13][14] In 2015, Lauren ran as the Libertarian Party's Candidate for Member of Parliament for the Langley-Aldergrove-District.[15]

Background, Identity and personal Life

Family, Ancestry and Religion or Lack of it

Either some or the Entirety of Lauren's Family is Danish.[16] Her great-aunt Inga once said: "If there's any justice in the world Justin Trudeau will be reincarnated as a female in Saudi Arabia."[17] Lauren's Great-Grandparents fled Denmark for Canada "during the war, they wanted to get away from the War after having their Trucking-Company taken away, so they were sponsored by Danes in Alberta and brought over to Canada as kind of Refugees quote unquote from the War in Europe", she says.[18]

Lauren took a DNA-Test, which says she 68% of her DNA stems from western Europe, 19% Scandinavia, 10% the Iberian Peninsula, less than 1% South-Asia and less than 1% Polynesia. She is 98% European.[19] The Site she evidently took the Test with was ancestry.com. She wants to take another Test "to compare the results", she says.[20]

On 20 January 2017, someone asked Lauren if she was a Christian, to which she responded that she was "searching".[21] In a Tweet on 16 March 2016, she said that, although she is not Jewish, People had been tweeting Things to her that she considered antisemitic.[22] On 22 May 2015, Lauren tweeted: "Jewish people are still recovering from the holocaust, my grandparents escaped the Nazi's in Denmark & lost everything."[23]

Early Life, Education and Start of Career

Lauren's Father always tried to get her to think on her own, asking her Questions.[24] For example, on the Subject of indigenous Americans, he would ask her something like: "Do you think that they had War and Fights here before the Settlers came to Canada, do you think that happened, Lauren, do you think it was a black and white Situation?"[25] Originally, she was a Political-Science-Major at the University of Fraser Valley in British Columbia, but dropped out after about two Years because it was "a Waste of Money" and she "could learn more on" her own.[26][27] While she was studying, she had applied to be a Military-Intelligence-Officer, but Ezra Levant of therebel.media asked her if she wanted to make a Video. She decided to do that and it went viral.[28] It was titled "Why I am not a feminist" and was published on YouTube on 8 April 2015.[29]

Gender-Change

In late 2016, Lauren decided to go through the Process of getting her Gender legally changed to male. After she did this, she said it "negatively impacts Society" that one can change their Gender so easily, because "it makes us as a whole give up our Sense of Honesty, Objectivity and our Respect for Facts."[30] During Arguments, she has been known to correct People who call her a Woman. At the DeploraBall on 19 January 2017, she told Lacy MacAuley[31] to "check People's pronouns" when she accidentally misgendered her in a Conversation. Lacy said: "My Apologies, I never would have known that [you're a Man]."[32] This happened again on 15 April 2017 at Berkeley. An Antifascist misgendered her, calling her a B****, to which she replied that she was legally a Man and that the Protester was transphobic. The Protester said: "Okay, well, all right, sorry, Dude."[33]

Diet

On 7 February 2017, Lauren said she had "been goin' paleo lately".[34] She says: "I make Fun of a lot of like the PETA-Type-People and like, but I actually have a Lot of Respect for Vegans."[35]

Views

Politicians

Lauren says she "obviously" likes Marine Le Pen, Geert Wilders and Maxime Bernier.[36] She says she has no "Concerns about Geert Wilders and Marine Le Pen being" national Socialists, adding that "they're quite far away from the Hitler-End."[37] When asked whether there was "anything about Parts of the Right, either Trump or Le Pen or any of these People that worries" her, she said: "The Thing right now is it's such a like 'We need to go with this now or we are going to die'-Situation, right?"[38] Although she sees Maxime as having a softer Approach than, say, Geert, she nonetheless supports him because she feels the Situation in Canada is a little different than the one seen in Europe and Canada isn't bordered by a Third-World-Country.[38] On 23 March 2017, she posted a Picture of herself with Maxime Bernier on Twitter.[39]

The State and Cryptocurrency

On 27 February 2017,[40][41] Lauren spoke[42] at a conference called Anarchapulco in Acapulco, Mexico.[43][44] Despite this, she doesn't identify as an anarchist.[45] At Anarchapulco, Adam Kokesh told her that he could not imagine someone as smart as her not becoming an anarchist within "a year or two"[45] and asked her, among other the things, the question: "Why aren't you an anarchist yet?"[46] One thing she said was: "I would love to live in a world where we have no government at all."[47] Another thing she said was:

[T]he biggest threat I see to freedom right now are the globalist institutions that exist, the UN, the EU, the state trying to go further and further away from the individual, take away our power further and further away and right now I think that honestly -- I know a lot of people are going to get mad -- that advocating nationalism is the best way to communicate to people that we need to pull away from these larger globalist institutions.[48]

In an interview with Dave Rubin on 2 March 2017, Lauren said that she sees "socialism as super utopian" and the idea of a "white ethnostate -- in America, specifically -- as super utopian as well". She finds the argument of the French identitarian movement that "France belongs to the French people" "far more fascinating than the ones in Canada and America arguing for ethnostates that are super utopian". She thinks that the argument that Denmark remain majority-Danish and Japan majority-Japanese is a "far more interesting argument than" the "Pepe, bring back the whites to power in America" argument.[49]

In a video she made on 6 June 2017, Lauren said:

Unlike most people that are into bitcoin, I'm not a full-out anarchist, although I like a lot of them, I just don't think it's pragmatic at the moment. I believe some minimal level of government is needed to preserve freedom and maintain borders, especially when competing against separate nation-states. However, I completely understand people who want to avoid taxes.[50]

The Alt Right and whether she identifies with it

Lauren says the Alt Right is asking whether Multiculturalism works and Questions about Race- and Gender-Differences, Questions that she says "aren't going to go away, no matter how much People try to bury them in the Sand".[51] In a Tweet on 25 August 2016, she wrote: "#AltRightMeans I don't have to be ashamed of my heritage", which would clearly suggest she considered herself Part of the Alt Right back then.[52]

However, she may have subsequently changed her Mind about identifying with the Alt Right. In a YouTube-Video published on 1 September 2017, she said sarcastically: "[I] guess I'm Alt Right now!" She was responding to Zach Weissmueller, who had referred to her and others as "Members of the Alt Right".[53]

Protests of SlutWalk-Protests, Backlash and Reinstatement as Candidate

On 7 June 2015,[54] Lauren protested the SlutWalk in Vancouver, Canada, holding up a sign that said "There is no rape culture in the West". She did this to protest what she calls 'radical feminism'.[55] According to "Metro", SlutWalks "are organised protests inspired by a 2011 comment by a Toronto police officer who said 'women should avoid dressing like sluts' if they wish to avoid sexual assault."[56] At the time, Lauren was a candidate with the Libertarian Party of Canada. There was backlash from the SlutWalk Protesters, who contacted her party and talked them into dropping her as a candidate.[57] On 8 July 2015,[58] Lauren announced on Twitter that Tim Moen, the leader of the party, had reinstated her as a candidate.[59]

On 3 October 2015, Lauren protested the SlutWalk in Los Angeles with Milo Yiannopoulos. Lauren held a sign that said "Regret is not rape" and Milo held a sign that said "'Rape culture' and Harry Potter both fantasy".[60][61] She lived with Milo for about a Week in LA.[62]

2017

Anarchapulco

At the end of February 2017, Lauren spoke[63] at a conference in Acapulco called Anarchapulco, whose stated goal was to evacuate the state.[64] Carey Wedler of theantimedia.org says that her "presence this year [2017] prompted at least one challenge from the audience questioning her continued belief in government and left some questioning why she was a featured speaker in the first place."[63] Carey thinks that Lauren "seemingly fits in more with the alt-right movement than peaceful anarchism that universally condemns the State."[63]

While in Mexico, Lauren saw Taleed Brown, who also attended Anarchapulco,[41][40] and posed for a Picture with him, posting it on Twitter.[65]

Departure from therebel.media

Lauren was with therebel.media until 9 March 2017, when she announced that she and therebel.media were going their separate ways on a video she posted on her YouTube channel and urged her fans to subscribe to the channel and keep up with what will be happening there, saying it was time for her to go independent.[66] She has said she "can't get into too much Detail about what went down at Rebel".[67] She said she'd been meaning to do this for a while[68] and that her views can't be bought "with a paycheck or a condescending look".[69]

Visits White House-Press-Briefing-Room

On 13 March 2017, Lauren Southern visited the White House-Press-Briefing-Room, causing Horror among "blue Checkmark Liberals", she said.[70][71] The next Day, the Website mediamatters.org, a self-described "progressive research and information center dedicated to comprehensively monitoring, analyzing, and correcting conservative misinformation",[72] posted an Article calling her an "'Alt-Right' Media Troll".[71]

Berkeley

On 5 April 2017, Lauren announced she was going to be in Berkeley, where Kyle Chapman, a.k.a. Based Stick Man, fought with antifascists, on 15 April for a Rally.[73] She said: "If the logical goal here from the far Left is to punch Nazis or shut them down because their ideas could lead to the death and oppression of millions of people, then fine, be like that, go ahead, punch your Richard Spencers, but at least be consistent."[74] The Proud Boys provided security for her[75] during the rally, which was called the Patriots Day[76] Rally or the Battle of Berkeley[77][78] or the Battle for Berkeley.[79]

Sargon of Akkad states Lauren is "crossing into Activism"

On 20 June 2017, Carl Benjamin,[80] a.k.a. Sargon of Akkad, stated in a Conversation with Dave Rubin on "The Rubin Report": "As much as I love Lauren Southern -- and I like Lauren Southern a Lot -- you can see how she's crossing into Activism, because she's feeling morally compelled to do something. Unfortunately, as a Journalist you have to stand Outside."[81] He clarified that he doesn't think what she does is "invalid", but that he thinks the "real, like, Scoops will come from People like Tim Pool".[82]

When Lauren got Word of what Carl said, she made a Video in which she pointed out that Journalists "don't just report on Facts and Events, they report on the Facts and Events that matter to Humans" and choose whether to "report on Event A or Event B" or "Fact 1 or Fact 2".[83] She argued that Neutrality is not always widely accepted when it comes to certain Topics: "I doubt one can report neutrally on the Topic of Slavery today or on the topic of Genocide. If you even try to show both Sides of that Argument you'd be shunned from Society completely."[84] In her View, it's a matter of being transparent with your Audience about what your Bias is:

I have massive Respect for Sargon, but I believe even he has felt morally Obligated to partake in some Activism here and there for the sake of helping Things like free Speech. I know I've been led to sign more than a few Petitions by him and that's okay, I just think the important Part is to admit where you're coming from ...[85]

Sören Kohlhuber-Incident

On 6 July 2017, Luke Rudkowski of wearechange.org, local German Journalist Max Bachmann of gernalist.org and Marcus DiPaola of heavy.com[86] were attacked[87][88] after antifascist Journalist Sören Kohlhuber tweeted Pictures of Lauren wearing a T-Shirt with an Identitarian Movement Lambda on it and Luke and Max walking near her.[89][90][91][92][93] Max was with Marcus later that Day when Marcus was punched in the Face and called a "Nazi Swine" after he attempted to film anti-G20 Protesters.[94][95] Sören acknowledges having tweeted the Pictures to let Antifascists know they were coming, but says he didn't know they were attacked until he heard about it through Luke's YouTube Channel.[89] Marcus accused a Reporter named Mathias Wåg of telling People to beat him up,[96][97] but said he forgave him.[98] Matthias says it's not true.[99] "Zeit Online" subsequently ended its Relationship with Sören, who used to blog for "Störungsmelder" (English: "Disturbance Detector"), an anti-national socialist Blog hosted on zeit.de.[100][101]

Patreon-Account deleted

On 21 July 2017, Tim Pool said that Patreon deleted Lauren's Patreon-Account and that Patreon accused her of "planning activities that are likely to cause loss of life." Lauren had been spending Time with the Group Génération identitaire, which seeks to stop the Flow of Migrants across the Mediterranean into Europe.[102]

Book

Lauren is the Author of the Book "Barbarians: How Baby Boomers, Immigrants, and Islam Screwed My Generation".[103]
